Located in Poland, Maine, Camp North Star is a premier overnight camp offering a hybrid activity program: structured mornings and elective-based afternoons. Campers try every activity while discovering new passions and building lifelong friendships.

My daughter had the best experience in Camp North Star. She loved everything, from the activities to the facilities, counselors and friends she made. As a parent, I felt super confident she was being well taken care of. The counselors are amazing and the owners are overseeing everything very closely. My daughter will be hopefully returning many more summers.
This will be our son’s 7th year at Camp North Star and we have loved to see how he has grown and matured over this time, and CNS’ role in adding to his experiences. He has made life-long bonds with friends with whom he talks every week during the year. We have been very pleased, as parents, with the support, management and communication from the camp leadership before, during and after camp; we look forward to seeing the camp and it’s experience grow in the future under their new leadership. Congrats to 100 years!
Our son went for the first time to Camp North Star last summer, 2025. We are a family from Stockholm, Sweden, and was looking for giving him a chance to experience something new while also practicing his English. And not only did he experience ”the best summer of my life” according to him, but he also got a new family, a camp family. We have had a first class experience, all the way from the directors and the cabin counsellors to the great bond of his new friends from all over the US and the world. For us as parents we have really appreciated the fact that we are giving our child the opportunity to have a screen free summer outdoors and surrounded by the great spirit of Camp North Star. Our sons favourites are waterskiing, waterpark och rock climbing, and just hanging with the cabin and making friends. We are counting down the days to this summer and camp!
